Abstract

For chamber ensemble, duration 12 minutes. Commissioned by the Tanglewood Music Center with assistance given by the Fromm Foundation at Harvard University.Originally completed in 1996, this piece was revised in 1998, and premiered on 21 February 1998 by the London Sinfonietta conducted by Markus Stenz.
