Abstract

For chamber orchestra, duration 6 minutes. Notte oscura is essentially the first orchestral interlude from the composer's opera The Overcoat (see #1478 on this repository). Originally completed in 2002, it was revised in 2004 and premiered on 30 April 2004 by the Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Frankfurt conducted by Christoph Mueller.
