Abstract

For orchestra, duration c.13 minutes. Pluen (feather) was commissioned by the Laurence Modiano Charitable Trust in honour of the seventieth birthday of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. The first performance was given by the RCM Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Martyn Brabbins at the Royal College of Music, London, 10 January 2019. This work was also performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra on 12 May 2022 at Bedford Corn Exchange, see https://philharmonia.co.uk/whats-on/220512-mendelssohn-and-sibelius/.
