Settings of poetry by Emily Dickinson, for countertenor (or mezzo soprano) and oboe, duration 10 minutes. Completed in 2005 and published in 2016, the piece was commissioned by Bill and Elizabeth Colleran, and first performed in April 2006 by David James (countertenor) and Melinda Maxwell (oboe and cor anglais).
