This piece was premiered on 5 June 2015 by the New York Philharmonic, at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, USA."Co-commissioned by New York Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Tokyo and Ensemble Resonanz, Dai Fujikuras work Infinite String arises from a worldwide orchestral cooperation." © Ensemble Resonanz. "After fertilization, cells are multiplying, and rapidly replicate their DNA. I used the timbre of tutti strings as if they were a growing zygote, rapidly changing in shape whilst creating more packets of the same information. The result is that a body of sound grows out of these small packets of musical information." © Dai Fujikura
