Abstract

For string trio (violin, viola and cello), duration 11.5 minutes. The piece was commissioned by the Royal Library and the Toyota Foundation and is dedicated to Julia Bardsley and her partner, Andrew Poppy. It was first performed on 18 March 2009 by the Aristos String Trio at Queens Hall, Copenhagen, Denmark. This work can be performed as the fourth part of the 'Terrain' cycle of six pieces (see https://researchonline.rcm.ac.uk/id/eprint/1462/).
