Abstract

For orchestra, duration 16 minutes. Commissioned by the St. Magnus Festival with subsidy from the Scottish Arts Council, this piece was first completed in 1993 and revised in 2008. It is the second part of the '3 for Icarus' trilogy which also includes Part 1 'Icarus lamentations' (https://researchonline.rcm.ac.uk/id/eprint/1436/), and Part 3 'Dædalus remembers' (https://researchonline.rcm.ac.uk/id/eprint/1438/).
