Abstract
For symphonic wind band, duration 15 minutes. This piece was commissioned by the UK College Commission Consortium for 2003. It was premiered on 4 March 2003 by the Birmingham Conservatoire Wind Orchestra conducted by Guy Woolfenden. Diaghilev Dances for symphonic wind band has been recorded four times: by North Texas Wind Symphony (Klavier: KCD-11144); the Royal Northern College of Music Wind Orchestra (Chandos: CHAN10409); the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Great Britain (Mark Custom: 7219-MCD) and the University of Kentucky Wind Ensemble (Mark Custom: 4949-MCD).
