Abstract

For orchestra, duration 21 minutes. The title refers to 'Beethoven Frieze' by Gustav Klimt, an artwork inspired by the finale of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. This piece was premiered at the Royal Albert Hall on 11 August 2013 by the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain conducted by Vasily Petrenko.
