Abstract
Song-cycle for tenor and ensemble, duration 23 minutes, setting texts on the theme of love by John Keats, Thomas Hardy, Edward Thomas, Robert Graves, and Alfred Lord Tennyson. This piece was commissioned by the Wigmore Hall for Mark Padmore (tenor) and the Nash Ensemble, who premiered it on 5 March 2009, conducted by Martyn Brabbins.
