Abstract
For large ensemble, duration 3 minutes. This work was commissioned by the London Sinfonietta for Oliver Knussen's 50th birthday with generous support from the Royal Festival Hall and Anthony and Mary Mackintosh. It was first performed on 12 June 2002 by the London Sinfonietta conducted by George Benjamin, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. It has also been performed by Ensemble Modern, Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
