Abstract

Concerto for viola and orchestra, duration 25 minutes. This work was commissioned by the Cleveland Orchestra and was premiered by them on 14 November 2002 conducted by Jahja Ling with soloist Yuri Bashmet. It has been recorded by Lawrence Power with the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Markus Stenz, see https://www.lpo.org.uk/recordings-and-gifts/73-cd-turnage-orchestral-works-volume-3.html.
