Kittos, H. (2016) Dyades. [Composition]

Abstract

For flute, bass clarinet, violin, and cello, duration 9 minutes. Dyades is a duet between two duets, where ideas and compositional material also carry a dyadic character. This means that the work actually consists of two independent pieces that can be performed both at the same time and separately. This results in three pieces (2 duets, 1 quartet), which can be presented in the same concert program, or not. Written for dissonArt and first performed on 29th April 2016, L’Auditori, Mixtur Festival 2016, Barcelona. This piece received an Honourable Mention in the Earplay Competition 2017.
