Abstract

For soprano and ensemble, duration approx. 4 minutes. The Dr K. Sextet ran an international composition competition in the autumn of 2014, inviting composers to set any one of the poems used in Schönberg’s Brettl-Lieder for soprano and instruments featured in the Dr K. line-up: flutes, clarinets, percussion, piano, violin and cello. The recording on the Audio tab below is of the live world premiere performance at Club Inegales, London, on 22 January 2015. Featuring the Dr K. Sextet with Lesley-Jane Rogers (soprano) and Ewan Campbell (conductor).
